Go large, keep delivery small!

Or…..how to overcome on site space restrictions by having your container cut up and rejoined upon delivery. Often space restrictions and difficult delivery access can be a put off to buying larger sized containers – you may have the room to keep one on your site, but getting it in place there can present a problem in itself. We often recommend flat pack containers for sites with tight access, but the largest sized flat pack is only 13' 5" long. So if you require a large container (which could be anything up to 45ft!), the only alternative until now was buying multiple smaller containers. However this is not as cost effective as buying one larger container, so as a solution, Containers Direct have come up with the cut, deliver and rejoin system.

EXAMPLE 1: Take one 40ft shipping container:

  •     Using our precision cutting tool we shear the container into two separate 20ft pieces
  •     We transport these two manageable sections to the required site
  •     Once in the place we weld the two sections back together to leave a complete 40ft container
  •     For even smaller spaces, we can do the same with a 20ft container, by cutting into two 10ft pieces

EXAMPLE 2: To make an extra wide accommodation unit, we can join standard 8ft wide shipping containers together, side by side, to create a width of 16ft, 24ft, or even larger if required! This is done by removing the sides of the containers to be used, then reinforcing the new opening before butting the containers together. The containers will be transported as separate pieces, and welded together permanently once delivered and positioned on site
