PORTABLE OFFICES FOR SALE

New in this week, Containers Direct have taken delivery of two new portable offices for sale, adding to our extensive range of portable offices and cabins. With so many different types to choose from, this article is here to guide you through the maze and help you decide which is best for you.

The main differences to look out for with portable offices are the materials used. You will find three main types of construction – steel, textured timber and a half way house between these two, called plastisol. Generally your choice will depend upon the level of security you require.

STEEL OFFICES are the most popular, as they are robust and a proven deterrent against thieves and vandals. They are also known as anti vandal offices, and are guarded by lockable steel shutters over the windows. Our new portable office PC13 in this week, is an anti vandal construction, and as with many portable offices is split into separate facilities. This one includes a kitchen and a store room.

TEXTURED TIMBER OFFICES are usually cheaper, and offer a slightly lower level of security, but are still fully lockable and some will include wire mesh over the windows. For areas where there is less risk of damage of break in, they are more than adequate as a secure and convenient portable building. The cement like textured coating over the timber construction provides protection against weather. PLASTISOL OFFICES are clad with a thin steel coating, leaving the walls smooth and providing a weathering screen and additional insulation. For an example of plastisol offices, see this 24ft by 10ft cabin we have for sale at our Liverpool depot.

Portable offices come in standard sizes of 32ft and 21ft, but you will always find plenty of other sizes available in addition to these, right up to 48ft and all the way down to 10ft!
