Absorpole

The problem of moisture damage caused by condensation inside closed containers can be a big headache. Variations in temperature inside the container lead to condensation and therefore soggy cardboard, rust and mildew stains. This is particularly damaging to stored household furniture, textiles and papers/documents.

The desiccant dehumidifier

The solution is to create a dry environment inside the container by removing moisture from the air as it forms. Containers Direct are now selling the Absorpole as a method of dealing with condensation rapidly and effectively. Absorpole is a simple and low cost way to bust condensation. It comes in the form of a solid plastic container filled with the desiccant Calcium Chloride, which is non toxic and highly absorbent.

Features of Absorpole

  • Contains superior Calcium Chloride type Anhydrous (100% dry)

  • Last 90 days at sea - much longer in storage containers

  • Absorbs 2 litres plus

  • Sealed unit

  • Cannot overfill or burst

  • Fully REACH registered and CLP compliant

Simply hangs up in the container

The Absorpole is easy to use as it's designed to be hung in the recesses of the corrugated container wall, so it won't get in the way or take up precious storage space. It's recommended that for storage in a 20ft shipping container you use at least 2 poles, and for a 40ft, a minimum of 4 poles. When the plastic container is full, it can be taken out and disposed of with regular waste. This product is recyclable, so it's good for the environment too!

Two litre capacity

Each Absorpole holds up to 2 litres of captured moisture, and its properties prevent re evaporation into the air, so once full it stays put until removed. Effective at temperature range -20 degrees C to 90 degrees C.
